As the proud new principal of Franklin Elementary School, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2023-24 school year. This is undoubtedly an exciting time for me as we embark on a new journey together as a community of learners. Many of our students and their families will be entering through the doors of Franklin School for the very first time. At the same time, the remaining students and their families will enter the doors on a continuation of the previous school year. Regardless of where you fall on the education continuum, welcome home. We’re all in this together!
The start of the school year is always my favorite time of year. Hopefully, everyone has had time to rest and rejuvenate over the break. It’s a new start and a renewal of my commitment to excellence in everything we do. It’s a time to reflect on the community's expectations for teaching and learning. It’s a reminder that as a learning community, our strength lies within us, and our success will come from our interdependence. Our collegial relationships and partnerships with our families will help to support and strengthen our students. Our ultimate goal is to create an optimal learning experience to meet the needs of our students so that they become critical thinkers and responsible citizens. In that way, they will be prepared for their future endeavors beyond the walls of Franklin School.
As we move through the school year, I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families as we push Franklin School forward. Additionally, I encourage all families to join the PTA and participate actively in our school community.
